About

Elly and Josh are passionate about global health-they seek to engage the healthcare ecosystem with the gospel of Jesus Christ, and desire to advance God’s kingdom and advocate for justice through advancing patient and physician outcomes.

They married in Virginia on June 16, 2018, and after a more traditional honeymoon are surveying health systems through a variety of lenses in five countries in Asia and three in Africa for the remainder of the summer.

Elly works in pediatric critical care and currently works in the pediatric cardiac ICU at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C. She also performs research and works to educate clinical workforces to identify and help human trafficking victims.

Josh works in the management and finance of healthcare, with a focus on digital health. He graduated with his MBA from Wharton with majors in healthcare management and finance where he served as a vice president on the Digital Health, and Wharton Global Health Volunteers boards. This past summer he worked with McKinsey, supporting organizational transformation for two of the nations largest health systems, and led health insurance work focusing on the individually insured market. He has worked with the FDA, HHS, and World Bank, and served on the board of a healthcare non-profit, the Children’s Crisis Treatment Center, in Philadelphia that provides behavioral health services to children who have experienced childhood trauma. http://cctckids.org
